Children’s Concert Society will still be holding their annual Scholastic Composers Contest this year and would like to encourage your composers to enter their composition. The original deadline was Feb. 5th but we have decided to extend that deadline to Feb. 19 to give everyone a little more time. Compositions can be submitted by email, through our website (application is under the Scholastic Composers tab) or by mail. You can also submit them in person, but please contact our office to setup a drop off time.
We are still planning on holding our Premiere Performance on April 21 but of course that is still subject to change but if we cannot meet in person, we will again ask the first-place winners to submit a video of them performing their winning piece for our Facebook page and website.
The Children's Concert Society is a non-profit educational,
volunteer organization founded in 1947. Our purpose is to foster music
appreciation in the youth of the community by providing opportunities to
experience the beauty of fine, live musical performances.
