Because of a generous bequest by the late Dr. Kenneth Swanson Children’s Concert Society was able to start an agency endowment fund at The Akron Community Foundation as a way to ensure a permanent, predictable stream of funding for our mission. The Celebrate Children Endowment Fund of the Children’s Concert Society of Akron welcomes gifts of all kinds, including cash, bequests, closely held stock, real estate, life insurance and retirement assets.

Making Music Magical
Since 1947 volunteers have remained steadfast in their commitment to providing access for children to quality performing arts experiences. Over the past 76 years millions of children of all ages have had the opportunity to experience different forms of music including symphony, wind ensemble, brass band, jazz, steel band, opera, ballet and more! CCS operates on a very small budget and has always been fiscally responsible. Children’s Concert Society is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to bring music to children. Help us provide the children in our community quality arts experiences!
