Concert Hall Series

A Field Trip to Inspire Musical Memories

Our Concert Hall Series has been the heart of Children’s Concert Society since 1947. Through this series, students have the opportunity to experience sights and sounds that can only fully be appreciated in a concert hall. Performances are one day only at 9:45 am or 12:30 pm. Each performance lasts approximately 45 minutes and will be preceded by age-appropriate organ or piano music. For the 2026-2027 season, we are happy to present two programs at the historic Akron Civic Theatre: The Press Play Orchestra, sister/partner symphony of the Video Game Symphony on October 14, 2026, and The Toledo Opera on Wheels, performing Three Little Pigs set to Mozart’s most famous arias on April 14, 2027. Read more about how these performances align with your curriculum and provide an enriching arts experience for students.

Reserve tickets for your school by clicking Book Now! below and submitting the registration form to Children’s Concert Society. Scholarships are available for students who cannot pay the entire admission fee. Please call our office 330-972-2504 to discuss scholarship needs.

Concerts are selected by a core committee comprising representatives from CCS and the performing organization to align with the state curriculum guidelines for the relevant grade levels. CCS prepares Teacher Manuals designed to assist the teacher in preparing his/her class for the concert hall experience
