In Jonathan Davies’s opera, The Three Little Pigs, siblings, Don Giovanni, Cherubino, and Despina, plan how they will build their new homes. While Don Giovanni and Cherobino decide on straw and sticks, Despina decides to research “huff-proof, puff-proof” building methods at the local library. In the meantime, the hungry wolf, Wolfgang Bigbad, blows down the homes of Despina’s brother and sister. Will Despina’s analysis of construction materials save their “bacon”? Is knowledge more powerful than a wolf’s appetite? Find out the answers to these questions in this delightful retelling of the classic folk tale based on the scenes and music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s operas.
